I liked the structure of this event: We were sitting around a large table and given an envelopes, roughly one between roughly 2/3 of us. Each envelope contained a controversial statement (on a shiny bit of a paper!). We were given five minutes to discuss the statement with the others with the same envelope. Then each set of people was given two minutes to summarise their discussion. All the times were restricted with a egg-timer buzzer, which worked better I think than somebody telling you that the time was up.
