This view of a course focuses on the financial aspects. The examples provided are around Open University courses which are divided in two phases: production - where the course is developed and presentation - where it is delivered to students. The OU system has a range of roles associated with these phases - a core course team, supporting staff in other Centrai Academic Units (CAU) and associate lecturers or tutors. However this view could easily be adapted for general use. The key aspects are viewing types of costs, against income and total cost.
