Thanks for the link John - I think the rise of the open access data movement is very exciting from both a research and a teaching perspective. The issue is how best to use this! I think cloudworks could provide a great space for people to share their ideas and the ways in which they are using OER and open acccess data!

My name is John Sloman and I work at the Economics Network, the Economics Subject Centre of the Higher Education Academy. The resource is a link to the various parts of 29 sites of open-access economic data, both UK and international. It can be used by lecturers and by students, either for their own searches or directed by their lecturer. The site is widely used (ii has had over 40,000 hits).
