Simon described Tools that can help Social Spaces or Social Learning work:
- Cloudworks
- Flashmeeting/Skype
- Compendium - as Excel for ideas
- Screen recording and annotation (linked to Compendium)
- Cohere - as way to annotate and share ideas (if you have cohere plug-in comments appear in sidebar for this page)
- ELLIment - online tool for mentoring using the ELLI framework (search cloudworks for more on ELLI).
- SocialLearn -current focus on PhD and researchers in OU to build space to join diverse resources
- OpenSocial as glue - example is iGoogle gadget that acts as people recommender from cloudworks information.

Firefox could not install the file at https://cohere.open.ac.uk/plugin/download/cohere.xpi
because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption) -261
The YouTube looks good though. Found this in the known problem file but no solution. Would it matter which version of Firefox was used? Keeps updating itself somehow.

The file hash for the Cohere Firefox plugin version 0.5.4 download has been corrected. You should now be able to install it. Sorry about that.

Cohere social web annotation and meaning making:
Sign up, download the Firefox extension from the homepage, and then start annotating the web! http://cohere.open.ac.uk
Ask Anna De Liddo to invite you to join the Cohere group on Social Learning so you can filter on just that topic: A.DeLiddo
