OpenLearn is the Open University's Open Content Initiative. OpenLearn started in 2005 with a grant from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. The OpenLearn website was launched in October 2006. To date, OpenLearn has had 11,284,815 visits from 9,013,911 unique visitors. It offers a range of subject areas from access courses to postgraduate level course. It has over 5,400 learning hours of content available online, ranging from 3-15 hours of content for an OER. A link to OpenLearn site and to the full narrative-based case study is provided.
