An excellent researcher at doctoral or PhD level:
- Creates ideas and spots opportunities internally and externally.
- Develops ideas in an innovative manner within own institution or externally.
- Understands the process of commercial exploitation of research results.
- Learns of the value to academia of establishing relationships in business/commercial context.
