ODeL must ensure that the role of education in society is readdressed and that the concept of higher education is demystified especially in developing countries.quality must not be compromised at all.

May I thank you all again for contributing so positively to our very broad discussions over the past few days? It is rare - at least in my experience - to have the opportunity to listen to colleagues from such diverse backgrounds and experiences, and it was so good to meet you all I hope you have had a good journey home.
Thanks, too, to May for representing our discussions so expertly.
I'm not sure quite how much I can influence at The OU UK, but standing up for 'student support' rather than just 'customer services' is high on my agenda. We talked quite a bit about quality, and I feel that student support is very much part of a quality institution.
You talk about 'reaping what we have sown', John. I do agree...
Liz
