The facilitators and resources
Prof. Gráinne Conole joined Beyond the Distance Research Alliance as Director in September 2011. Prior to this, she was Chair of E-Learning at the Institute of Educational Technology, The Open University. Gráinne brings a wealth of experience of working with academics to design learning programmes using technologies, and will soon be publishing a book on the subject. Gabi Witthaus is a Research Fellow at Beyond Distance with a particular interest in the design of online and blended learning, and a long history of working on curriculum design projects within the field of EFL in South Africa, Spain, the Middle East and the UK.

Hi everyone looking forward to participating in the course. This is providing us with an opportunity to combine the University of Leicester's work on Carpe Diem with the learning design work developed at the OU UK as part of the OULDI initiative.
