Hi Alan, I saw your Force map, if the idea of intergenerational learning is accepted I can integrate this with the new elements.

Hi Juliana

Yes pleae please integrate intergenerational learning - it is part of adult and ommunity learning and at the moment w ar trying to cover the whole area. We may later want to consider if we need to narrow the scope.

Cheers

Alan

Shall we use a collaborative charting tool e.g. the one used by Yishay: https://www.lucidchart.com/ so we can all edit and add to one chart?

Or am I missing something as I can't find a way of adding to this one.......

Hi Sandie

I just used windows paint to produce a diagram and then embedded it through Flickr. Happy to use anything that you find useful - just go ahead and embedd a new diagram. It was simply my first thoughts.

I am busy marking exams so may not be able to do much plus I hurt my back clearing snow so finding it hard to sit in front of a computer for more than a few minutes. However, I should be Ok in a couple of days so please go ahead

Cheers

Alan

Hi Sandie

Cloudworks does not allow you to embed a file but I could send you the jpg directly if you would like - I am at alan@ictlearn.demon.co.uk

Cheers

Alan

Hi all,

I did some exercises but not all the assignment. I liked the idea to draw. Then I just took a picture and embedded into Evernote, that I can share immediatly using the link:

A draft buiding on Alan's ideas by JR

The exchange with Alan made me think about the contacts and hibridisation processes between contexts. This is because I  draw the map in two colours: the issues that could put the learning context at risk, are also the issues that could allow innovations, in search to solve the tensions. Then I come back to my idea, which a posted to my blog (from the agorà) This is to say that according to me context is more than a contour, something pushing within an educational setting. It is a symbolic and dynamic space.

In intergenerational learning you have two initial contexts interacting: that can become one, hybrid and new "enlarged" context.

Thank you Alan, I enjoyed and Learnt from you. I know I just followed your idea, and I couldn't put all the necessary energy to come up with something really integrated at a higher level of quality (collaborative).

We'll keep trying next week

Best

Hi Juliana

I enjoyed your diagram - does it suggest that one of the goals should be to produce independent learners? If so, I do agree with you - that seems an excellent objecytive to me.

Best Wishes

Alan

PS I am still occupied with marking compounded by just finding out I am tutoring on a new course starting on 2 Feb so I am a little short of time, please forgive me
