Across disciplines academic publications are the norm how do resources relate to web2 technologies. Affective issues of infomration control are quite powerful - what do these changes mean for expertise, ownership, control.

Hi yes this is a key question. I think as Martin Weller was saying in his talk there is a tension between sharing of ideas and getting recognition through formal, tradition mechanisms.
Blogging and journal articles are different media - different critical review processes, different purposes.
Are there issues in terms of the formal digiital traces through these new potentially more ephemoral channels?
