Tamsin joined the e-Learning team in 2006, having worked as a research assistant, a seminar leader, and a Widening Participation tutor for the Department of English; her initial e-Learning experience was gained while maintaining the English WebCT provision as a Masters student. Tamsin has three degrees from Exeter, the most recent of which is a PhD in English ('Empire of the Imagination': Victorian Popular Fiction and the Occult, 1880 - 1910; 2008), completed the day before her daughter was born. Outside of work, Tamsin is midway through renovating the cob house in which she, her husband and their daughter live, but keeps getting distracted by chickens, cats, and a short attention span. She is far too keen on pottery for her own good, and the opportunities offered by an evening class mean that none of the plates in her house match.
