Learning is a critical component of innovation at work. Most organisations invest significant sums in formal training. Yet professional learning often generates greater value for organizations when the learning is integrated within authentic work tasks.  Digital technologies provide opportunities to link formal and informal learning with work. However, there is limited understanding of how digital tools and networks can be used by professionals to leverage learning. Using self-regulated learning as a theoretical base, I will highlight insights on professional and digital learning from IET research over the past year.

Professor Allison Littlejohn: Biography
