In the kick-off meeting, we had some discussions on how we can use technology to support intercultural competence assessment. We would build further on the WebCEF assessment tool (http://www.webcef.eu).
Do we see the platform as a place where learners can reflect on their intercultural competences? Is it, on the other hand, an environment where communication between peers, learner and expert, etc. is supported and the assessment itself is made (as in WebCEF)? Is it both? :-)
It was also generally agreed that the application should also be accessible in more open environments such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Ning, etc. How can you include social aspects to intercultural competence assessment? What are the consequences of this for reliability, usefulness, privacy, access,...?
