If you don’t know where you are headed any wind will do. Seneca

This session will stress the importance of sound - yet flexible - project management to the successful completion of your degree.  It will introduce you to a valuable selection of simple but very effective tools and techniques that can be used at different stages in the PhD process. It will be hands-on as well as thought provoking, and will also signpost a range of further resources.

Roger Pitfield has an OU MBA and is a long-serving OUBS tutor.  He is an independent management consultant/developer and is currently working on campus within the Strategy Unit in the Research School’s Policy Governance & Information (PGI) team and the Futures Office.  His interests are coaching and personal development and management theory.  His motto for life is: ‘there is no great delight in owning anything unshared!’
