That is indeed an interesting article and it came just to the right time, thanks for providing the link. I am a teacher in a vocational school in Germany and currently studying with the Open University the MA online and distance education and preparing for the the end-of-course assignment. Part of the assignment is to design a learning activity with Web 2.0 technology. I chose to use the blog, but although I am a regular user of my student blog, I would  be a first-time class blogger. Among many other questions - technical and pedagogical ones, did  I asked myself as well how am I going to grade a blog? Besides that I also wonder if I have to ask the parents for their consent as my students are normally no full-aged? How do others solve that issue?
