Learning objects as recipes?

Liked the emphasis from the Maths and Stats presenter at this conference. He talked about a really successful learning objects being 'something that you do'. He showed some Excel animation objects where the learning object was about how you did this.  So this is about making it easy for users to see how they would use in their own context. (I think).

Also an emphasis on shared context for re/use - with joint user groups 'the more specific the better'.

I really like this notion of learning objects as recipes and agree demonstrating how LOs

be used and how they might be applied in different contexts is really powerful.
