|Practical workshop taking place at the Institute of Education, London several times during 2012/13. Already taken place twice. I am looking to continuously improve the design and delivery of this workshop. I have 15 iPad2s so its a practical workshop. EAch participants uses an iPad to practice using each app demonstrated.
Co-facilitated by myself and an ICT co-ordinator from a secondary school in London.
The key challenge is balancing a need to expose the participants to as many different types of apps as possible and providing the opportunity to explore the teaching and learning possibilities in enough depth.
The change you would like to see (challenge)
|What do you hope to achieve? What would be different if you succeed?||The current learning design was rushed and didn’t follow a deliberate process. I have organised my thinking in this website http://ipadsioe.weebly.com/ . However, I want to follow a process to properly reflect and improve what I am doing.
How you might go about bringing that change
|What is your pedagogical approach? Which technologies will you use to implement it, and how?||The pedagogical approach is one of constructionism. However, there is perhaps more that is didactic than I would wish. Overall, it’s not the pedagogy I am worried about. I’m more concerned with estabilished a learning design process into my teaching so that I can became a better teacher.
