Interest so far ...

  • Natasa: English as a foreign language
  • Michael: Teaching Law to non degree Law Students
  • Leslie: non specific
  • Tony: non specific

... and any thoughts on the next step - aligh with Week two? or pick the best bits of week 2 to progress through?

Hi Tony and all,

This is mostly a copy-paste of my answer left under Tony's project proposal:

If it turns out that we have to do the project in collaboration, I don't mind doing a non specific project. I suppose that, if we create something general, everyone will be able to fit in.

If we decide to go on and pursue our individual topics, we can still collaborate.

And Tony, thanks for setting the Cloudworks.

Thanks Natasa,

This brings forward the question - where are we going - learning design - individual, group or both.

Natasa is right - the group may collaborate as a a place for Q and A, discussion - idea testing and advice from each other.

Time to express our desires:

A point of focus - context ...

2. Start to contextualise your project (Short route 45+ mins). Look at your week 1 project description (if you don't have a project choose one you like from the week 1 dreambazaar or create one now). Think of a story about learning related to the project: Who and what is involved? Why? When? Where? How? What happens? (Extended instructions)

1) Individually or in groups develop an initial scenario. If you want use this template and/or completed example. For an introduction to scenarios, see scenario-based learning design (Extended instructions).

2) Add your scenario/s to the scenarios cloudscape and/or display elsewhere.

3) Request feedback on your scenario & comment on others' scenarios

(Done activity 2?)

Hi Mellisa and Manuel,

Welcome to the design group:

It is a closed group so we can be assured that our work is kept private until we need to go public.

Any thoughts on how to engage the group - any ideas on design, furthering our own ambitions.

Cheers,

Tony

A motivator to get us going:

here is a quick task,

in less than 100 words, please introduce ourselves and what we are interested in designing.

Thanks

QUICK QUIZ for us ...

Not much talking, presenting ideas etc,

Is this because:

(a) too busy

(b) don't know what I want to do

(c) overwealmed by the system learning curve

(d) can't think of a design that is worth pursuing

(e) lost interest (reason - eg. not what I needed, too much technology, too ambiguous etc.

(f) any others (like - joined another group to work with)

It would be great to hear from you ...

Tony,

It's (a) and (c) for me, though I am still here. In fact, during Week 1 I thought I was going to give up, but now I am hooked on personas and learning scenarios. Still, I am very, very late with everything.

Thanks Natasa,

a and c seem to be trapping me too.

Cheers
