ARTS students In this session we will hear papers from a few willing volunteers: either short versions of finished papers or works in progress. There will be time for discussion and feedback following the papers.

Dr Sara Haslam is Director of Research Degrees in the Arts Faculty, and a Senior Lecturer in the English Department, where she supervises postgraduate students working on Joseph Conrad, Thomas Hardy, Virginia Woolf and the literature of the First World War. Her published research as author and editor focuses on Ford Madox Ford, Modernism, and the literature of the First World War, but she has also written on Hardy, Henry James and the Brontes. She has contributed teaching material on Chekhov, James Joyce, Life Writing, John Donne, Arthur Ransome and RL Stevenson to Open University modules.
