Are Western children losing interest in science? Governments emphasise the importance of enabling publics to participate in society-changing science issues, and I am interested in how these recommendations translate in to the classroom.

This MRES project will focus on a case study exploring details about genetically modified crops.

A mixed methods approach will combine semi-structured interviews, and thematic analysis of the organisation's websites, to explore ways for all students (not just the gifted) to better-engage with issues that are shaping the societies they will inherit.
