Learn about...and be inspired
The fair is an annual Open University Staff Development event which is open to all OU staff and gives an informal opportunity to find out about the latest developments in the use of technology in education. This year it was held on 10 February between 11:30 – 2:30pm. It featured a wide range of subjects, including some favourites from the previous fairs such as Accessibility, Podcasting, Blogs and Wikis, and newer subjects such as Mobile Learning, Cloudworks and Elluminate. In addition, course teams who have practical experience of using educational technologies innovatively and successfully explained how to use various tools to enhance student learning experiences. There were a series of short presentations on some of the topics which were filmed and are available as podcasts after the event at http://podcast.open.ac.uk/oulearn/education/podcast-learn-about-fair-2010#.
Staff could drop in at any time between 11.30 am – 2.30 pm to find out more about over 20 subjects and free lunch was available.
