This Cloudscape is to support a project team in developing a Work-based Learning Maturity Toolkit. The project is being led by the University of Bradford and is funded as a Benefits Realisation initiative under JISC's Lifelong learning and workforce development  programme.

This toolkit aims to help institutions, faculties, schools, departments, and programme teams to:

  • Better understand what "maturity" in work-based learning (WBL) looks like.
  • Assess their own maturity in WBL.
  • Improve their strategies and plans for WBL.

Further information about the toolkit and how to use it is available at:

The toolkit is being developed as a Wiki on a PBWorks site -

The Clouds in this Cloudscape align to the seven key areas of focus of the toolkit:

  1. Institutional readiness
  2. Faculty/school/department readiness.
  3. Programme design for WBL
  4. Programme delviery and asssessment for WBL.
  5. Effective partnerships.
  6. Quality of the learner experience.
  7. Effective, usable, accessible technologies.

Please feedback commentsand suggestions for enhancing the toolkit in each of the above Clouds.
