Abstract: As a result of the work done by the Roadmap Acceleration Programme (RAP), mobile-optimised learning systems have been enhanced for our students who are learning on-the-move or away from a typical study environment. In particular, the Mobile VLE delivered through Moodle has extended the work initiated in the previous beta version on v1.9.x of Moodle (or OU VLE1) to include new improved layout and navigation for students not only to read and catch up with their studies, but also contribute back to their peers on OU VLE2 (Moodle v2.x). 

The Mobile VLE can be seen as a student entitlement, that is available to all with little input initially required by curriculum teams. In order to maximise the potential of these and other mobile tools, this session will offer an opportunity to discuss what could be customised further through resources and activities, what usage there has been and also how best to coordinate activities for the future.
